This folder contains a variety of useful (and not-so-useful) scripts. If you see one you’d like to try, simply drag it into Tex-Edit’s “Scripts” folder:
1) Clean ASCII For HTML This script converts punctuation and special characters into HTML-friendly form.
2) Compare Windows This script will compare the top two windows and report the first instance where they do not match. This is useful if you are not sure two documents are identical.
3) Delete Window This script will close the current window and move its related document to the trash.
4) Display Pathname… This script will show the pathname of the file associated with the active window.
5) Expand Abbreviations This script allows you to enter shortcut notations during rapid text entry. These shortcuts can then be expanded when you are finished typing. For example, “bc” becomes “because.” Feel free to add your own shortcuts!
6) Reveal In Finder This script will open the folder in which the current document resides.
7) Twiddle This script exchanges the two characters preceding the cursor. This is a helpful tool for correcting typos.
8) ASCII <-> Binary This folder contains two scripts which convert ASCII text characters to their binary (8 bit) equivalents.
9) Browser Load/Reload This folder contains two scripts which create a URL for a document file and load it in your browser window.
10) Fun Scripts This folder contains several playful scripts which produce interesting results.
11) Inline/No Inline This folders contains a script and related OSAX for quickly toggling inline editing off and on.
